Hotel Trade Fair Berlin

Five Berlin neighbourhoods as your home base for the fair. Stay personal, without chain vibes, and get to ExpoCenter City with ease.

Not at the Funkturm and still right

If you search for “hotel Berlin trade fair” or “hotel Messe Berlin”, you quickly land at chain hotels on Messedamm. That works if you want the shortest walk to the entrance. Many fair visitors want something else though: ExpoCenter City by day, and in the evening a neighbourhood with restaurants, bars and the feeling of really being in Berlin.

That is exactly what our little BIG hotels are for. We are not at the Funkturm, but in Kreuzberg, Tiergarten, Schöneberg, Mitte and Steglitz. By S-Bahn, U-Bahn or taxi you reach the grounds in about 20 to 30 minutes. Afterwards you come back to a boutique house with character, where you can enjoy the evening and experience Berlin properly.

Which fairs are coming up?

At Berlin ExpoCenter City on Messedamm the big dates of the year take place. For 2027 and the months ahead we have our own pages with dates, ticket notes and stay tips: Green Week 2027, FRUIT LOGISTICA 2027 and E-Commerce Berlin Expo 2027.

Then come the big formats you probably already have in your diary: IFA Berlin 2026, ITB Berlin 2026 and InnoTrans 2026. All sit at ExpoCenter City. Exception: ILA Berlin is at ExpoCenter Airport in Schönefeld, so a different venue.

Which house fits your fair?

At our the YARD Berlin you stay a little set back on Alexandrinenstraße, a quieter residential stretch from which you can head into Kreuzberg on purpose. By day Landwehr Canal, Jewish Museum or Prinzenbad (summer only), in the evening pool, sauna and a quiet courtyard at the house. This is the only one of our hotels with a spa, and after a long fair day often exactly where you really wind down.

Our fjord hotel berlin sits on Bissingzeile in Tiergarten, under ten minutes on foot from Potsdamer Platz and deliberately not on the square itself. Hygge and Nordic in feel, you are still minutes from the Kulturforum or Gleisdreieck park, and from here clearly on the way towards the fair. More on the location is on our Hotel Potsdamer Platz Berlin page.

Our LINDEMANN'S sits on Potsdamer Straße in Schöneberg and feels like living in a lively neighbourhood, not a hotel zone. In about ten minutes you are in the Nollendorfkiez with Viktoria-Luise-Platz and Motzstraße, a little further the Winterfeldtmarkt waits. In the evening you stay in the neighbourhood, with bars, food and everyday life around you.

At CALMA Berlin Mitte you are a few steps from your room onto Linienstraße and already in the middle of the Mitte feel. Northwards Torstraße opens up, for us the more lived-in Mitte with bars and food that locals actually use. Oranienburger Straße is on foot as well, and the quiet courtyard keeps the buzz outside when you want to sleep. Mitte speaks for itself.

Our Anna 1908 is on Büsingstraße in Steglitz, in a Gründerzeit period building with a quieter pace than Mitte or Kreuzberg. Schloßstraße, one of Berlin's largest shopping stretches, starts practically around the corner, the Botanical Garden is nearby, and by taxi or Uber you are often at the fairgrounds in about 20 minutes. If you want to experience Berlin but prefer to start evenings from the green southwest, you are right here.

How you get to the Berlin fairgrounds

You reach ExpoCenter City most comfortably via S-Bahn Messe Süd or Westkreuz, via the U2 at Theodor-Heuss-Platz or Kaiserdamm, or by bus. On fair days public transport is usually the smarter choice, because access and parking around the Funkturm get tight.

From our Berlin hotels you are typically on site in about 20 to 30 minutes by taxi or Uber. With S-Bahn and U-Bahn plan a little buffer, especially in the morning at fair opening. We are not selling you a walk to the entrance. We are selling you a clear route to the fair and back into the city afterwards.

Evenings in the city instead of only a fair hotel

When you come back from the Funkturm after a long fair day, you often want no empty fair street, but a neighbourhood with dinner and short walks. From fjord near Potsdamer Platz you are a few stops from ExpoCenter City and in the evening right in the inner city. The deal is honest: not sleeping at the entrance, but landing in Berlin after hours.

In Kreuzberg, Schöneberg, Mitte and Steglitz the same principle applies. Halls, stands and meetings by day. In the evening a house where you arrive and stay, without the fair still clinging to reception.

Book direct and secure early

In fair weeks demand and prices rise. If you book early and direct with us, you secure rooms without portal mark-ups and often with event codes on the respective fair pages. For more than five rooms, take a look at our group enquiry.

All dates and tips are also under Events. This page is not a calendar replacement, but your entry point when you want a hotel for Berlin trade fairs and a central stay.

Frequently asked questions about hotels and Berlin trade fairs

Are the little BIG hotels right at the Berlin fairgrounds?
No. We sit centrally in Kreuzberg, Tiergarten, Schöneberg, Mitte and Steglitz. To ExpoCenter City you typically need about 20 to 30 minutes by taxi or Uber, with public transport a little more buffer. In return you are in the city in the evening, not only in the fair surroundings.
Which hotel works for IFA, ITB or Fruit Logistica?
For most visitors at ExpoCenter City, the YARD, fjord hotel berlin, LINDEMANN'S and CALMA work especially well, because public transport is clear and the evening location is urban. Anna 1908 is strong if you prefer Steglitz and often taxi/Uber. Details are on the respective event pages.
How do I get from the hotels to the fairgrounds?
Most comfortably by S-Bahn (Messe Süd / Westkreuz), U2 (Theodor-Heuss-Platz / Kaiserdamm) or bus. Taxi and Uber usually take 20 to 30 minutes from our houses. On fair days public transport is often more reliable than driving in.
Does this also apply to ILA Berlin?
Only partly. ILA takes place at ExpoCenter Airport in Schönefeld, not at the Funkturm. Plan arrival and transfer separately. Our Berlin hotels remain a good base if you also use the city.
Are there discount codes for fair visits?
Yes. On many of our event pages we add time-limited booking codes. Check the page for your fair, for example ITB, Fruit Logistica or Green Week, and book direct.
When should I enquire for groups?
From more than five rooms please use our group form. For up to five rooms you can book as usual via the booking widget on the respective hotel page.
