From BER airport you reach us via the FEX from Potsdamer Platz in about half an hour. You feel the proximity to the square on every walk; the soundscape of the junction less so.
Honesty belongs here: there is a lot of construction in the neighbourhood right now. In Berlin-Mitte the new substation is being built; the works are clearly visible and audible by day from Bissingzeile and towards Potsdamer Platz. Construction vehicles, diversions and temporary access can dampen the “quiet side street” impression for now. At night and inside the house, many guests still find it noticeably calmer than directly at the junction. Our team knows the situation and is happy to advise on room choice and which side the windows face. The construction phase is a temporary cut for the city, not a permanent state of the location.

By day, Gleisdreieck park tempts just a few minutes away, green in the middle of the city between the tracks, when you want to breathe out after a museum or before the evening programme.
If you want something special, book categories with character: “SCHØNES BÅD MIT BLIK” with freestanding bathtub and terrace, “SCHØNER BLIK” with private roof terrace and daybed above the rooftops. These are real rooms with us, not photo showcases, and they make a stay in Mitte tangible without a long trip out of the centre.
Culture and green right around the corner
Without culture and green nearby, the quiet location would only be half as appealing. How everyday life works here
A quiet house still has to work day to day. With us you check in digitally, without a queue at reception. The team is there daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. for tips, luggage or a chat in the afternoon. Breakfast comes with many homemade specialities, weekdays from 6:30 a.m., weekends from 7:00 a.m.
Rooms deliberately have no capsule coffee machines. Instead our coffee flat rate in the lobby: coffee and tea for all guests from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. – for us the more contemporary and sustainable solution. If you like, take coffee with you in eco-friendly to-go cups. Guests appreciate it, and the afternoon stays a shared moment in the house.
For the day on site you can hire bikes at reception. Parking spaces and the underground garage can be reserved when booking. With an electric car you are welcome too; there is a charging point at the house – coordinate with the team at reception.
Families feel welcome from the start. Children up to five sleep free in the parents’ bed; cot and baby bath are lent without extra charge. At breakfast, children under five eat free, so the start of the day stays relaxed. If you need accessible travel, “SCHØNES M” is a suitable room – best ask when booking so we can prepare everything.
Rooms unfortunately do not have air conditioning. Each room has a fan, and in quiet Bissingzeile an open window in summer often beats the uniform cooled air of many city hotels.
