ITB Berlin 2027

Messe Berlin, Messedamm 22, 14055 Berlin

ITB Berlin 2027 from 16 to 18 March at Messe Berlin. Everything you need for your visit, plus our boutique hotels for the nights.

What ITB Berlin is about

ITB Berlin is the world’s leading B2B travel and tourism trade show, and it is open to trade visitors only. At the exhibition grounds by the Funkturm, destinations, airlines, hotels, tour operators, travel tech, MICE people and media meet to find partners, launch products and lock in plans for the year. Alongside the halls runs the ITB Berlin Convention, the industry’s big think tank. Your trade visitor ticket gets you in there too, plus the matchmaking tool and networking formats on site. According to the organiser, the 2026 edition brought around 5,600 exhibitors from 166 countries and territories and roughly 96,000 participants to Berlin. The Convention alone drew more than 24,000 attendees.

When and where it takes place in 2027

From 16 to 18 March 2027 the show opens at Berlin ExpoCenter City, Messedamm 22, 14055 Berlin. Doors are open Tuesday to Thursday from 10:00 to 18:00. Exhibitors can access the grounds from 08:30 to 19:00. The dates sit a little later in March than usual, just this once, so Muslim exhibitors and guests can mark Eid al-Fitr at the end of Ramadan and still join all three fair days. You will find the latest details on the official ITB site.

What moves the industry in 2027

Under the motto Travel & Tourism in Motion, ITB 2027 looks at how people travel, how they get around, new tech, and the economic and social shifts that come with it. The Convention runs under the related line “Setting travel & tourism in motion”. Programme and speaker list will follow later in the year. If you want to pitch travel-tech topics for the eTravel Stage, the organiser says you can submit a call for papers until the end of October.

The show is laid out by destination geography and also by market segments such as Adventure Tourism, Business Travel, LGBTQ+ Travel, Luxury Travel, Medical Tourism and Travel Technology. The official host country for 2027 is the Maldives, ten years after their first turn in that role. Visit Maldives hosts the opening gala and, from 16 to 18 March, puts on a national stand, cultural programme, networking and press formats. 2027 is also Visit Maldives Year nationally.

Tickets and getting there

Only trade visitors with a valid ticket get in. According to the ITB ticket page, trade visitor tickets should go on sale in the online shop from mid-October 2026. Other ITB pages still say December 2026, so it is worth checking the shop once it is live. Tickets and vouchers are sold online only in advance. There are no ticket desks on site. If you want early-bird alerts, you can sign up for the ITB Insider.

Public transport is the easiest way to the grounds. The main S-Bahn stops are Messe Süd and Westkreuz (among others S3, S5, S9 and the Ringbahn), plus Messe Nord/ZOB. On the U2, get off at Theodor-Heuss-Platz or Kaiserdamm and walk or hop a bus for the last stretch. From Berlin Brandenburg Airport you need an ABC ticket. You can often add a public-transport ticket in your ITB order confirmation. Within Germany, Deutsche Bahn offers event fares for ITB participants, usually bookable about six months ahead. Parking at the grounds is limited, so on fair days the train is usually the safer bet. Open entrances include Hall 21, North Entrance at Hall 19, Hall 9, Hall 7 (SCH7), CityCube Berlin, South Entrance and Hub27. Up-to-date tips sit in the ITB travel service and the visit planning pages.

Tips for your fair days

If you have been to ITB plenty of times already, you will probably just smile and skim this. If it is your first visit, a little planning goes a long way. ITB gathers the visitor tools under visit planning. There you get dates, opening hours and open entrances in one place.

Before you travel, the ITB Navigator is worth a look. You set up a profile with the email from your ticket registration, browse exhibitors and product highlights, get matching suggestions and book on-site meetings. The interactive hall map shows where stands sit on the grounds, and you can keep Convention sessions and other programme formats in view. Livestreams and the Convention overview live there too.

On the move, the ITB App for iOS and Android takes over. With the same ticket email, your profile, favourites and appointments sync from the Navigator. You get the exhibitor directory, grounds map, a filtered event and Convention programme, bookmarks and notes. For networking you generate a QR code from your profile or scan badges, then export contacts as a CSV later. Your ticket sits in the in-app wallet.

If you still do not have a clear route through the halls, the free Guided Tours help. They run about one and a half to two hours, in English, and take you with industry experts to selected stands and themes. Six formats cover destinations, AI, hotel tech, MICE, culture and Hidden Gems, among others. The detailed 2027 programme comes later. The booking portal should open at the end of January. Sign up for the ITB Insider so you do not miss the start.
