Neighbourhoods with real Berlin

Schöneberg lives from neighbourhoods that set themselves apart from Ku’damm bustle: more authentic, less staged, with the feeling that West Berlin still lives and shops here. From LINDEMANN’S you reach the Nollendorf neighbourhood in about ten minutes on foot, with Viktoria-Luise-Platz, Motzstraße and the queer history that began here in the 1920s and is tangible again in bars and cafés today.

A little further west lies Winterfeldtplatz with its large weekly market on Saturdays and Wednesdays, surrounded by Goltzstraße and Maaßenstraße with cafés, bookshops and pubs frequented more by locals than tourist routes. The Akazien neighbourhood around Akazienstraße is known for being lively and cosy without painfully trying to be hip: owner-run shops, period facades, families and creatives under tall street trees, relaxed and varied at once. Potsdamer Straße not Ku’damm

Our LINDEMANN’S sits on Potsdamer Straße, not directly on Ku’damm, and for many guests that is exactly the sweet spot: quick towards Potsdamer Platz, Kulturforum and Neue Nationalgalerie, and still Schöneberg with its bars, shops and the feeling of being in the neighbourhood.

Ku’damm and KaDeWe are a short U-Bahn or bus ride away, without walking through the tourist funnel at the Memorial Church every evening. Sightseeing by day, Schöneberg or dinner along Potsdamer Straße at night. Courtyard or street?

STREETLIFE & BIG and FAMILY & FRIENDS face the street, with more pulse outside the window and the feeling of being in the middle of Schöneberg neighbourhood life.

URBAN BATH combines a freestanding bathtub in the room with a private terrace beside it, urban design on about twenty square metres, unwind inside and breathe the city outside. URBAN ROOF goes a step further with a private roof terrace and views over Schöneberg’s rooftops, door open in the morning and Berlin from above.

Both categories have their own terrace, Wi‑Fi, laptop-size safe and the style that makes our LINDEMANN’S what it is. Air conditioning is in all our rooms, not only in the signature categories. They are among our most popular rooms and not available in every travel period, so booking early pays off. Early check-in and late check-out are not bookable for URBAN BATH and URBAN ROOF because the rooms are tightly scheduled; best clarify directly with the team when reserving.

Quick to Potsdamer Platz

Good connections are a given in Schöneberg and still decisive. Bülowstraße with the U2 is nearby, Kleistpark with the U7 is about five minutes on foot, Nollendorfplatz with U1 to U4 about ten. Yorkstraße with S1 and U7 is about eight minutes away on foot, and buses M48, M85, 106, 187 and 204 stop right outside the door.

From LINDEMANN’S you reach Potsdamer Platz and the Kulturforum quickly, likewise Ku’damm for a stroll or evening plans. If you travel by bike, hire one at reception for twelve euros per day and explore Schöneberg on your own.

Everyday life at our hotel

An urban hotel has to work simply day to day. Our reception is staffed around the clock, practical for late arrivals, business appointments or simply the question about the best café around the corner. You check in digitally and open your room with your smartphone; the team is reachable at any time.

Breakfast comes with many homemade specialities, weekdays from 6:30 a.m., weekends from 7:00 a.m. As in all little BIG hotels there is no coffee machine in the room; instead our coffee flat rate in the house from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. If you arrive by car, you find outdoor spaces and an underground garage at the house, plus an EV charging point in the courtyard.
