Sure, you can get something cheaper “on the go” outside. But honestly, a really good breakfast is part of a hotel stay – like butter on bread. Without the hustle and bustle, with a selection, freshly made, able to order more, and combine it exactly how you like it. And in many pure breakfast cafés, you end up paying even more for less choice. So: Don’t stress – start the day with pleasure and treat yourself to our little BIG breakfast: organic, regional, homemade.
What Makes our Breakfast Special?
In short: honest ingredients, short distances, a lot of craftsmanship. Our breakfast in the little BIG hotels focuses on organic quality, regionality and homemade classics that change according to the season. Instead of interchangeable mass-produced goods, we offer things that you can taste: fresh fruit, homemade salads, warm favorite dishes – plus many vegan options without compromising on enjoyment.
How Vegan-Friendly is the Breakfast?
Very much so. In our Berlin and Leipzig locations, a creamy vegan yogurt is available at the buffet. It pairs perfectly with fresh fruit, crunchy muesli, or a selection of seeds & nuts. Savory options continue with vegan spreads, microgreens, vegetables, and antipasti. Additionally, upon request, we offer: vegan cheese, vegan sausage, vegan croissants, and falafel.
Gluten-free is also easy with us. On request, we have gluten-free rolls and gluten-free muesli options that are very popular with our guests.
They are freshly prepared – please give us a few minutes. Our tip: If you eat vegan, please let the reception know in advance – then everything will be ready for you on time and without waiting. And if something is missing: There’s a sign on all buffets – just ask us, and we’ll gladly prepare more.
How “Organic” and “Regional” is it Really?
As much as possible. We prioritize organic quality for dairy products, grains, fruits/vegetables, juices, honey, microgreens, and seeds. Wherever possible, we work with regional suppliers – short distances, fresh produce, fair relationships. Homemade for us means: cutting, stirring, seasoning, and arranging ourselves – instead of relying on pre-made products. The result is a buffet that not only looks good but also tastes high-quality.
What Savory Options are there – and which of Them are Homemade?
Your day starts heartily with plenty of craftsmanship: homemade egg salad, tuna salad, and meat salad are standard, as are our cheese and sausage salad and fresh pesto varieties for a bun upgrade. Additionally, cold cuts (cheese & sausage), crisp vegetables, antipasti, and our microgreens as a fresh topping. In the hot section, you’ll find scrambled eggs, boiled breakfast eggs, and alternating sausages, meatballs, and bacon – classic, honest, popular. Our baked goods are varied: various seeded rolls, croissants, and healthy breads invite you to create your own sandwich. For those who prefer plant-based options, vegan spreads are available. Upon request, we freshly prepare vegan cheese/sausage alternatives, falafel, or vegan croissants. A note at the buffet reminds: Just tell us what you need – we’ll take care of it.
