The Philosophy: New German Cuisine – Seasonal, Vegetable-Focused, Artisanal
Just a few streets from Hotel Anna 1908, Restaurant Jungbluth in Steglitz serves modern, seasonal cuisine with a clear signature.
At Jungbluth, everything starts with fresh ingredients – from farmers, breeders, and manufacturers from Berlin & Brandenburg to fish from the German coasts. Cooking is done in rhythm with the seasons and is vegetable-focused: vegetables set the tone, while special cuts of fish and meat add accents. This creates a cuisine that speaks clearly, precisely, and close to the product – and that’s exactly what the team understands as “New German Cuisine”: a language of taste that connects guests from the neighborhood and far beyond Berlin.

“When the result speaks a language that connects our guests from the district and beyond the state borders, then that is our definition of New German Cuisine.”
– Andre Sawahn, Owner & Chef
The consistency of this approach is also evident on paper: for nine consecutive years (since 2015), Jungbluth has been awarded in the Guide MICHELIN – a rare long-term testament to quality and signature style.
Menu & Prices – Clear, Flexible, Enjoyable
From the daily changing offerings, Jungbluth creates a harmonized 3-course menu for €54. Your only choice: fish, meat, or vegetarian – the kitchen curates the rest. If you want more, you can add any number of intermediate courses at €15 each. For a completely carefree experience, enjoy JUNGBLUTH’s 4-course menu including wine pairing, water, and coffee for €105 – arrive, lean back, enjoy.
A Place with History – Reimagined
With this culinary philosophy, the team continues the legacy of this corner establishment: 100 years ago, a wine bar here attracted guests to two sun terraces. Today, a historic bar counter, stucco extending into the kitchen, and high ceilings tell of this tradition – they bring light, air, and a touch of the Gründerzeit era into a space that takes hospitality as seriously as enjoyment. This is precisely where the Jungbluth idea fits in: honest products, clever seasonal cuisine, refined craftsmanship – without much fuss, but with great impact.
